The Australia Day Council (Victoria) Inc. has a voluntary membership of patriotic citizens.

Our aims are to:
  • To create and maintain national interest in the appropriate celebration of Australia Day and all it signifies.
  • To support Her Majesty the Queen as the Queen of Australia and proclaim loyalty to her. To support as the flag of Australia the established flag which includes the Union Jack as a symbol of our appreciation to Great Britain as the founder of Australia on the 26th of January in the year 1788. To inculcate a love of country and of the Australian flag in our activities.
  • To develop and foster an Australian national spirit and the inculcation in the firm belief of this great island continent.
  • To educate the general public in the development of Australia, physically and culturally.
  • To foster interest in Australian industry, commerce and rural pursuits.
  • To encourage the healthy development of Australian youth.
  • To stimulate public thought toward the conservation of our flora and fauna and natural resources generally.
